ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
My Story
During my art history education, I focused on the evolving aesthetic and technological dynamics of contemporary art. I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Anadolu University's Department of Art History; my master's thesis was titled "The Development of New Media Art in Turkey: The Case of Candaş Şişman," focusing on new media arts. My area of expertise is the historical and conceptual development of new media art in Turkey.
I combine my academic research with curatorial practice, producing exhibition projects and writings on new media, digital art, and contemporary aesthetics. I have curated exhibitions in Eskişehir and Istanbul, and conducted research focusing on digital art, cybernetic aesthetics, and contemporary art theories.
I am currently pursuing my doctorate at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, working as the director of digital arts at The Key Art Gallery, writing about new media arts, and developing exhibition projects. My areas of interest include bio-art, sound art, digital sculpture, new media textile art, and cognitive aesthetics.
