About
Art Historian and Curator Ebru KALENDER graduated from the Department of Art History, Faculty of Literature, Anadolu University in Eskişehir, Türkiye in 2012. She received her Master's degree in Art History from the Institute of Social Sciences, Anadolu University in 2022.
Kalender graduated with a master's thesis titled "The Development of New Media Art in Türkiye: The Case of Candaş Şişman." Her area of expertise is the History of Turkish New Media Art.
She has two articles titled “Candaş Şişman’s New Media Art” (2021) and “The Development of New Media Art in Türkiye” (2023), and a YouTube broadcast titled “New Media Art: An Interview with Ebru Kalender”.
She began her doctoral studies in Art History at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2024. She currently works as a freelance art historian, serves as the digital art director at The Key Art Gallery in Eskişehir, and writes art articles for periodicals such as Piksel.bülten and Eskişehir Sanat Dergisi.
Her areas of interest include Bio Art, Sound Art, Digital Sculpture, and New Media Textile Art. Kalender has recently been developing various exhibition projects focusing on new media arts.
