Thinking about the future represents, on the one hand, a dream of a better world, while on the other hand, it also involves a cautious perspective that considers possible catastrophic scenarios. Today, one of the artistic counterparts of future research is futurology, or biological art. Biological art, particularly through its work in the field of speculative biology, represents a field that generates a wide variety of hypotheses about the evolution of life. The Rhizomorphosis project is an exhibition that looks to the future through life from a possible post-Big Bang perspective and aims to explore possible proto-life forms.

Multidisciplinary artist Saba Baki adopts a speculative approach to art in her works, exploring the possibilities of human biology and its extension, lifestyle, in the distant future, based on the concept of rhizomes developed by Deleuze and Guattari in the sculptures in this exhibition. Creating her works inspired by ginger (a type of rhizomatous plant) and using it as a metaphor, the artist presents, in a futuristic quest, prototypes of a schizoanalytic, multifaceted, posthumanist way of life capable of displacing all functions within the human organism and becoming detached from the self in the distant future.
